Calling all makers …

We are looking for 24 products to feature in our 2018 Craftadian Advent Box.

What is the Craftadian Advent Box?

We introduced shoppers to the Craftadian Advent Gift Box last year. Customers can treat yourself or a loved one with a wrapped special curated handmade gift for each of the 24 days of the advent (December 1 – 24). This curated box includes handmade products including jewellery, bath and body care, edibles, décor, accessories and more. Each product is valued between $2 – $12, for a total value of over $180. Each product is wrapped with a date “ie open on the first”

What type of products are you looking for?

Anything handmade. Last years box featured body care, wood, jewellery, pins, loose-leaf tea, candles and more. See the companies that were featured last year (2017 Craftadian Advent Box). We are looking for donated products or products that wholesale between $1-$10.

Advent Calendar 2018

Apply to feature your products in the 2018 advent calendar gift box. Each box contains 24 individually wrapped items (on for each day from December 1-24. We launched this product in 2017, and sold out all 20 boxes.

  • Typically 40-50% off retail price (the min order will be 15) We plan to start with 15 if we sell out order additional.

We’re on the lookout for new and returning artisans pushing the boundaries of craft, food and design who want to share their work and vision to make Craftadian an authentic and lively handmade marketplace.

Open to all handmade businesses in Canada. Products must be handmade (or have a component of handmade), handmade by the applicant, and made in Canada.

Workshop Application: Craftadian

NEW* to the Craftadian Spring Market, we are adding workshops. You may apply to run a workshop.

Craftadian Made in Hamilton
Saturday August 25, 2018; 10am – 4pm
McMaster Innovation Park, 175 Longwood Drive Hamilton

 

How it works? You rent the space from Craftadian, you will get promotions through Craftadian, You may charge a classroom fee for your students. The space fits up to 10 students comfortable.  Table and Chairs provided.

2018 Workshop Application

SATURDAY AUGUST 25 2018 (10AM - 4PM) MCMASTER INNOVATION PARK 175 LONGWOOD ROAD S, HAMILTON, ON Workshop Fee: $50.00 plus HST
  • Workshop Application:

    Workshop Space/Room Fee: $50 up to 2 hours
    Fee includes tables, chairs (max 12)

    * Workshop Leader responsible for all supplies
    * Workshops may have a registration fee
    * Workshop Leader would create an event to collect participants and payments (ie. Eventbrite)
    * Workshop Leader would promote their workshop on their social media platforms
    * Workshops will also be promoted on the Craftadian website and social platforms

    Note: You DO NOT need to be an exhibitor to run a workshop. Open to all.
    * Craftadian reserves the right to decline a workshop leader application that they feel may not be a good fit for the market. * Workshop applications will close when full

    We do expect our workshop leaders to help promote their workshop by sharing on social media. This builds a stronger community and stronger attendance.

    Optional Swag Bags: Customers line up 1-2 hours before the show opens to get a coveted swag bag. Workshop leaders have the opportunity to provide a swag insert (up to 50) in our swag bags. Swag inserts are something small (sample size) that represents your business (no paper unless you are a paper vendor ie card or tag).

    Have you run a workshop in the past either on your own or at other events?
  • What will participants learn to do? What will they make?
  • Tell us what would participants pay to participate in this workshop? What is included in their fee?
  • If possible, provide a photo of what the participants would make. Max photo size 15MB
  • Workshops may be up to 2 hours

  • Terms and Conditions

    1. Workshop Leader fees are non-refundable upon acceptance.
    2. All fees are subject to HST (13% Harmonized Sales Tax).
    3. During your workshop timeslot you may sell additional kits ect to the participants only (no soliciting to other visitors or outside the workshop room).
    4. Workshop leaders are expected to promote and fill their workshops
    5. Workshops with a link to register will be listed on the Craftadian show page
    6. Craftadian will provide support for promotional of the workshops
    7. Workshop tables and space are included in the cost of the workshop fee of $50.00 plus HST. You (workshop leader) would be responsible for bringing all other items required for the workshop including table coverings, supplies, etc
